Peter
Apostle & Leader
Overview
Peter, originally named Simon, was a fisherman from Bethsaida who became one of Jesus' first disciples and the leader of the twelve apostles.
Known for his boldness and impulsive nature, Peter often spoke first among the disciples. Despite denying Jesus three times, he was restored and became a foundational leader of the early church.
Jesus called him "the rock" upon which He would build His church. Peter preached the first sermon at Pentecost and was instrumental in spreading Christianity to both Jews and Gentiles.
